Dennis Wiggins has had a distinguished professional career prior to joining Brand Guardians USA. He was recently CEO of the Retail Marketing Institute, and industry organization that brought together CEO’s and CMO’s of the nation’s largest retailers to discuss the most challenging and emerging issues facing the dynamic and ever-changing retail environment.

Dennis started his professional career with Ford Motor Company, and then left to pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity. Together with four friends from business school, Dennis founded Sybran Corporation/Mortgage Data Service, which grew into the largest residential real estate database in the country in two years. The client base included banks, S&L’s, mortgage bankers, and at one time included 13 of the 15 largest national banks in the country. Over the first three years, Dennis eventually purchased the business interests of all his partners.

The success of Sybran Corporation enabled Dennis to pursue multiple business interests in several retail areas, and in manufacturing and construction. In the course of acquiring these businesses, Dennis successfully increased sales by focusing on the core businesses, pared expenses, and in two difficult cases, working closely with management, successfully engineered a profitable turnaround of the businesses before acquiring them.

Dennis earned his BA in Economics Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University; his MBA in both Finance and Marketing from The Wharton School/University of Pennsylvania; and his JD from Georgetown University Law School. Dennis is a member of the bar in Washington, D.C.
